Liverpool afternoon update: How far can Jayden Danns go at Anfield?

The first-team may have dropped the ball on Sunday, but it was a much better weekend for Liverpool’s academy sides.

The U21s started things off with an impressive 3-0 win over Manchester United at Old Trafford last Friday, with the U18s then battling hard in their 2-2 draw away to Everton on Saturday.

I want to focus, in particular, on Jayden Danns in this week’s academy update. The 18-year-old striker has been in superb form this season, scoring more than 20 goals and making his mark on Jürgen Klopp’s first-team too.

How far can he go, I wonder? To me, he looks to have the tools to become a more-than-interesting player for Klopp’s successor to look at…
