Liverpool are in negotiations with Feyenoord as they look to appoint Arne Slot as their next manager.
The Reds have identified the 45-year-old as their preferred candidate to replace Jürgen Klopp at Anfield this summer, and have now formalised their interest with an official approach to the Eredivisie outfit.
Slot has built a fine reputation with Feyenoord since taking over in December 2020, winning the Dutch title in 2023 and cliniching the Dutch Cup earlier this month. He also guided the Rotterdam club to the final of the Europa Conference League in 2022.
Liverpool sources say the former AZ Alkmaar boss emerged as a strong candidate during a thorough and lengthy internal process, with Slot known for his tactical nous, the high-energy manner in which his teams play and his ability to connect with both players and supporters.
Further developments are awaited.
