Awful news. Let’s take him out with a quad

Neil, beyond the obvious sadness of this great era coming to an end, do you think Lijnders was ever considered as a potential replacement? Feels a shame that both he and Matos are leaving. Would they not have accepted working for Alonso for example?

I don't think Lijnders was ever a candidate. I understand the departures of JK's closest staff. I don't think it'd have been workable, either for them or for the new manager, if they stayed.

Shocked and saddened. However, after listening to the interview, I feel he has made the decision for the correct reasons for himself and the club, ( not that it makes it easier) .

We will always be grateful for having such a great person leading our club but like he says, the time for all of that is at the end of what we hope will be a wonderful last season, for him and for us.

Absolutely gutted. I love that bloke. He has definitely so much to offer and his passion for the club is clearly evident. It’s not a decision he would’ve taken lightly. Still in shock if I’m honest but so grateful for the wonderful manager that he had been.

Boss ❤️ Gutted that the Jurgen Journey will come to a close at the end of this season. Grateful that it happened. Endless appreciation to Jurgen Klopp for everything he brought to Liverpool. Respect his decision and the reasons; always right for him to leave on his own terms.

He turned doubters into believers. He was more than just a leader but a role model. YNWA, Boss.

Now let's win it all.
