Great piece niel, I think going for Bellingham would be all our eggs in one basket ,we would inthe mire if he got a bad injury ,spreading tge cash I makes sense ,I think the signings are very critical to keep fans on the side of fsg
Bellingham would have been a great addition but the idea that he’d have stayed for a decade is fanciful. We’d have spent the next 4 years wondering if he’d sign an extension.
It’ll be the same with Haaland at City.
Real and PSG (and Newcastle 😯) would come knocking.
We can still build a team to compete without mortgaging the club on 1 player.
