A bit better, but still not good enough.
It’s been a pretty drab few days for Liverpool, and things didn’t improve too much at the London Stadium on Saturday, as Jürgen Klopp’s side were held to a 2-2 draw by West Ham United.
Having trailed at half-time to Jarrod Bowen’s header, the Reds got themselves in front after half as Andy Robertson squeezed home an equaliser before Cody Gakpo’s mishit shot found its way into the net off a combination of Angelo Ogbonna, Tomáš Souček and, finally, Alphonse Areola.
But having wasted chances to extend their lead, Klopp’s men were undone 12 minutes from time as Michail Antonio levelled, the draw all-but-extinguishing their already-faint Premier League title hopes.
