Everton v Liverpool analysis: Outfought, outmuscled and outscored, what went wrong for Klopp's Reds?

The dream is dead, the idea of a perfect finale to the Jürgen Klopp can be well and truly shelved. Not happening, sorry.
The Merseyside derby has been kind to Liverpool for an awful long time, but it felt pretty cruel on Wednesday night as the Reds’ Premier League title hopes went up in smoke at a raucous Goodison Park.
Everton’s 2-0 victory, achieved courtesy of goals in either half from Jarrad Branthwaite and Dominic Calvert-Lewin, all-but-ensures that Sean Dyche’s side will be playing top-flight football next season, and all-but-ensures that Liverpool will not be picking up their 20th league title come May 19. They’ve given it a hell of a go, have Klopp’s men, but they have been found wanting in recent weeks, and they certainly were here.
